Our Story
In 2024, our founding team spent weeks researching local business directories for a client project. We found dozens of "best directory" lists, but they all felt superficial—subjective opinions with no clear methodology.
We built the first version of our BLD Score algorithm to solve our own problem. Word spread, and other agencies started asking for access. By early 2025, we launched BestLocalDirectories publicly.
Today, we maintain the most comprehensive and transparent directory database on the web. Our 10-factor scoring system analyzes everything from domain authority to spam control, giving businesses the insights they need to make informed decisions.
